Gettysburg, PA – September 2004

This was a hike we took with one of the local hiking clubs to the Gettysburg battlefield and museums. We lived in York, PA at the time, so it was less than 50 miles from our home.

The Gettysburg National Military Park protects and interprets the landscape of the 1863 Battle of Gettysburg during the American Civil War. Reenactments of the battle are held annually

Great Smokey Mts – July 2004

This was a Charlie & Barb Mannino family gathering with all the kids and grandkids in attendance. We all shared a cabin that we rented and had a great time hiking and enjoying the mountains and the family fellowship. We stopped at the Veterans War Memorial on Interstate 81 on the way to Tennessee.

Ridge upon ridge of forest straddles the border between North Carolina and Tennessee in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. World renowned for its diversity of plant and animal life, the beauty of its ancient mountains, and the quality of its remnants of Southern Appalachian mountain culture, this is America’s most visited national park.

Sedona, AZ Conference – January 2004

Donna & I took this trip to Arizona to attend a conference in Phoenix. We stopped at Sedona on the way.

Sedona’s main attraction is its array of red sandstone formations. The formations appear to glow in brilliant orange and red when illuminated by the rising or setting sun.

California Trip – July 2003

Donna’s parents went on this trip with us. We flew to San Francisco and rented a car so we could tour California on the way to see her brother in Oceanside, CA. Along the way we visited several winery’s, stopped at Yosemite and Sequoia national parks, the home of the Remington gun family. and a couple missions. We met the rest of Donna’s immediate family in Oceanside and spent several days fishing, swimming and enjoying the beach area.
