This was a family cruise that we took for my Mom & Dad’s 60th wedding anniversary. Ports included Cabo, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta where we did our first zip line adventure.

Cruise ship travel is a popular form of tourism that allows passengers to explore multiple destinations while enjoying the comforts and amenities of a floating hotel. Cruise ships come in a variety of sizes and styles, ranging from small luxury vessels to massive ships that can carry thousands of passengers. Many cruise lines offer a range of onboard activities and entertainment, including restaurants, bars, theaters, casinos, and pools. In addition to onboard entertainment, passengers can participate in shore excursions to explore the destinations they visit. However, cruise ship travel has also been associated with certain risks and challenges, such as outbreaks of illnesses and environmental concerns related to waste disposal and emissions. As a result, cruise lines have implemented strict health and safety protocols, and many are investing in more sustainable practices to minimize their impact on the environment. We’ve taken over 20 cruises to various parts of the world. Shown below are those trips.
It’s always fun to cruise in the Mediterranean. We visited several coastal cities in Italy, Greece, Turkey and Egypt. We visited the Coliseum in Rome, many of the famous temples in Athens, and the great pyramids and the Sphinx in Cairo, Egypt. This trip was on the infamous Costa Concordia ship that eventually sank along the coast of Italy in 2012.
This was a cruise that we took with Carole & Dave, LuAnn & Tim and my mom & dad in honor of Mom & Dad’s 55th wedding anniversary. The cruise included a stop in Costa Rica as well as going through the Panama Canal, then returning back to the Atlantic Ocean then back to Florida, with a stop in several of the islands in the Caribbean.
This cruise was our first trip to Europe. We visited Barcelona, Spain; Nice, France, Rome, Italy, and several Greek islands. It was on a small ship (600 passengers) known as the Renaissance 3, however this cruise line is no longer in business. It was one of the best trips we’ve ever taken.
This was a Windjammer cruise in the Caribbean that Carol & I took for a new experience. A windjammer sailing cruise is a unique tall ship experience where the destinations are influenced by the winds and tides to provide the ultimate relaxation and peacefulness on the water.
