This was a trip I took on my own with the Earthwatch group. It was a two-week adventure in the jungle where I had an opportunity to walk in the swamps up to my waist and venture into the thick jungle in Borneo, Indonesia. Our mission: to safeguard a National Park from the clutches of poachers and vandals’ intent on its destruction. Together, we treaded into the dense labyrinth of the jungle, contributing to the essential task of baseline assessment for one of the nation’s invaluable National Parks. It was more than an adventure; it was a purpose-driven voyage, a testament to our collective dedication to preserving the natural wonders of our planet.
