This was a Charlie & Barb Mannino family gathering with all the kids and grandkids in attendance. We all shared a cabin that we rented and had a great time hiking and enjoying the mountains and the family fellowship. We stopped at the Veterans War Memorial on Interstate 81 on the way to Tennessee.
Ridge upon ridge of forest straddles the border between North Carolina and Tennessee in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. World renowned for its diversity of plant and animal life, the beauty of its ancient mountains, and the quality of its remnants of Southern Appalachian mountain culture, this is America’s most visited national park.
Donna & I took this trip to Arizona to attend a conference in Phoenix. We stopped at Sedona on the way.
Sedona’s main attraction is its array of red sandstone formations. The formations appear to glow in brilliant orange and red when illuminated by the rising or setting sun.

This was an incredible trip that Donna & I took to Cuzco and Machu Picchu – One of the 7 Wonders of the World. This was one of our best trips, and we got to stay at the Sanctuary Lodge at the top of the mountain for one night. What a breath-taking site it was.
Donna’s parents went on this trip with us. We flew to San Francisco and rented a car so we could tour California on the way to see her brother in Oceanside, CA. Along the way we visited several winery’s, stopped at Yosemite and Sequoia national parks, the home of the Remington gun family. and a couple missions. We met the rest of Donna’s immediate family in Oceanside and spent several days fishing, swimming and enjoying the beach area.

Donna & I took Keith & Chris on this trip to the Canary Islands, Spain & France. We toured Tenerife then flew to Madrid for a couple days, then took an overnight train to Paris where we toured for two days. Following that we took another train to Normandy and stayed with the people who hosted my mom & Dad during the 50th anniversary of the D-Day invasion. In Paris, we climbed the Eiffel Tower, visited The Louvre and many other sites around the city. In Normandy we visited Omaha Beach and several museums in the area, as well as the Normandy cemetery.
